As we approached the New Year/Christmas celebrations I decided to write about Wine pairing with fish eggs. So below you will find some wine matching suggestions to enjoy with Caviar, Tarama, Salmon roe and Lumpfish roe.

Wine pairing with Caviar

There are different varieties and qualities of Caviar. Each different kind of Caviar offer different gustative characteristics so it’s important to choose the right wine for your Caviar. Below I propose some ideas (wine appellation) to explore but in any case I advise to you to choose an unoaked wine (or as least as possible). This advise is also true for Tarama, Salmon roe and Lumpfish roe.
Of course, with the Caviar you can also enjoy this exceptional dish with the traditional Vodka (Pay attention to the different qualities!)
