Château Tour Léognan & Chateau Carbonnieux

For this first “Vert De Vin” article, I have decided to invite you to discover the Château Tour Léognan and the Château Carbonnieux, owned by the Perrin family.

From his early years, Eric Perrin fell in love with wine. At that time he expected only one thing: the school holidays. For us we can think of holiday relaxation, sleep etc …. For him it was all about fun to go help his father at work in the vineyard. It was therefore a natural consequence that in 2008 he took up the family torch, accompanied by his brother Philibert.

By creating their wine, the Perrin family is looking for a subtle balancing act between the concentration of aromas of citrus, peach and tropical fruit …. And finesse on the palate.

What do they want? An easy wine to drink for any occasion …. And not a wine that will never be led.

If you talk about wine tasting, Eric will answer “the important thing is you and your thoughts”, and “keep trusting your feelings”, to “keep its personality in terms of tasting in reliance on what is perceived “.

Here is one of the few winemakers who can make “wine” with “pleasure”, “simplicity” rhyme.

Tourism aside, you can discover the permanent exhibition of old cars under working, or the workshop “bicolor”.

The workshop consists in making assemblages of grapes (you can create your own wine!) Enjoying them with the visitors to the Chateau Carbonnieux is a must for wine-tourism in Pessac-Léognan.

A story about the Carbonnieux‘ vineyard? Yes, without problem

A 18th century Ottoman Sultan married a woman from Bordeaux, a woman who liked Carbonnieux white wine. So in order to continue to drink she asked what he was sending the bottles but written in them “Mineral water of Guyenne.” The ploy worked perfectly, so that one day will a drop fell and the Sultan replied, “I do not know why the French tried to make wine, so they have a delicious mineral water”

Thanks to Eric Perrin for his hospitality.
