Artichoke with french dressing
This is the artichokes season, a good and easy to cook vegetable but a complicated food to pair. Below you will find a easy recipe for artichoke and some Wine & Food Pairing tips.
Time : 35 minutes
Ingredients: (4 people)
- 4 artichokes
- olive oil
- chardonnay vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice
- Salt and pepper
- Thyme
Preparation:
- Rinse artichokes
- Bring salted water to boil in a deep saucepan
- Put the artichokes in the saucepan when the water is boiling
- Cook for 20/25 minutes (the leaves should come off easily when done)
- Remove the artichokes and let cool to room temperature
- Prepare the french dressing (vinaigrette sauce) :
- In a bowl, mix Dijon mustard, the Lemon juice, a pinch of thym, salt and pepper
- Add olive oil
- Mix briskly
- Serve artichokes accompanied with the vinaigrette sauce
