Onion and goat cheese tart

 

This week I propose to you easy recipe of onion and goat cheese tart and Wine & Food Pairing possibilities.

 

 

 

 

Time : 45 minutes

Ingredients: (for 4 people)

  • A puff pastryvert-de-vin-tarte-oignon-fromage-chevre
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 shallot
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 4 white onions
  • 10g of salted butter (0,35 oz)
  • 4 tablespoons of tomato sauce
  • olive oil
  • 30g Honey (1,05 oz)
  • 50g Grated Swiss cheese (1,75 oz)
  • herbs of Provence
  • Goat Cheese

 

preparation:

  1. Slice white and spring onions
  2. Mince the shallot
  3. Mince garlic
  4. Put the salted butter in a hot pan
  5. Once butter has melted put onions/shallots/garlic
  6. Season with salt and pepper
  7. Add a little bit of olive oil and the tomato sauce
  8. Cook for 5/8 minutes
  9. Add the honey, stir and cook for 1 minute
  10. Preheat the oven to 180° C (356°F)
  11. Put the pastry in a pie plate
  12. Pierce the puff pastry with a fork
  13. Pour the mixture (onions/shallots/garlic/tomato/honey) in the pie plate
  14. Sprinkle with Swiss cheese
  15. Put slices of goat cheese over the tart
  16. Sprinkle lightly with herbs of Provence
  17. Season with Salt and pepper
  18. Bake for 25 minutes
  19. Once cooked remove the onion and goat cheese tart and serve!
